Belleville EMS offers a variety of opportunities to those interested in serving with us. If you’re new to EMS, you are welcome to ride along with our crews and attend our training meetings to learn more about who we are and what we do. You can also volunteer to drive the ambulance on emergency calls. Belleville EMS will cover the full cost of attending an EMT-Basic training course at an area technical college, in exchange for a commitment to volunteer with us as an EMT-Basic. Volunteer EMT-Basics receive a stipend for responding to emergency calls that occur during their duty shifts. We ask our volunteers to commit to covering 36 hours of duty each month. Belleville EMS also offers tuition reimbursement for Advanced EMT training, in exchange for an ongoing commitment to volunteer with us.

Experienced EMS providers at the Advanced EMT or Paramedic level are welcome to apply for paid part-time positions. Our part-time staff help ensure that our ambulance is staffed 24/7, with the majority of available shifts being during weekdays.

All members of Belleville EMS have access to a modern, comfortable station with recently renovated sleeping quarters, day room and meeting room. A full kitchen, laundry and internet access are available when at the station. Our ambulances are stocked with state-of-the-art equipment, and we operate under Dane County’s progressive EMS protocols, allowing our EMTs to provide an exceptional level of service to our community.

Belleville EMS’s members come from all walks of life. Many of our members are new to EMS, others have decades of experience. Our members include college students as well as retired people eager to give back to their community. Whether an EMT or Driver, volunteer or part-time, all of our members are part of a professional team that is ready to provide the best emergency care to the Belleville community.
